That price should be complete, if it isn't, you are waaaay better off getting them from the states.

Another vote here for the AFR165's. Although i believe you'd expect to pay between 2200-2600 depending on which ones you go for.
Check out www.a1hiperformance.com.au , thats where i got mine from, excellent service and great prices.

The range of alloy heads to suit is many and varied... In order of my preference:

Trickflow Twisted Wedge
AFR 165cc
Edelbrock Performer 5.0
Ford Racing X305
RHS 180cc

There are other heads on the market, and all of the above manufacturers make larger versions, but for a 5 litre the above are the pick of the bunch.

What is the intended application? What car do you have?

185s are a bit large for the 5.0l, the 165s are a nicer street head. :)

Holley Systemax is another GOOD induction set up... Only issue is inlet is NOT symetrical so it faces drivers side...
The 185's are o/k with cam'd up 5.0.. But it depends on how much into performance you want to go?? It more depends on inlet manifold length. Too short, you loose low rpm torque... This can be gained by raising compression ....

Edelbrock RPM #60259 are very friendly with a 5.0L. These are stud mount RR and no EGR or try #60359 made for pedestals.
Intake valves are 2.02" / 170cc runners / 60cc chambers.
I paid around $1700 complete but threw away the springs for Comp springs.
Just because heads come complete with valves & springs it does not mean that it is best combo - just OK at best!
