Hey Fellas just a reply about the GT40 heads didn't they use them on series 2 EL XR8's , tickford Fairlane's & the EL GT's

Yes GT40P's they did.
GT40's were used on EBGT and Sprint.

EL XR8's still used the E7 heads even the 185kw versions. They used GT40's on EB and EL GT's as well as Sprint and Fairlane by Tickford. P's were never used till AU.

I have seen an Original FBT with 40P's though.

That is where it gets interesting. The EL GT got GT40 heads, while the FBT was the first use of GT40P's.

From all the literature i've seen on the FBT the only difference between it and the EL GT engine was the upper manifold was a Cobra and not a GT40, exactly the same as what they did with XR8 Sprint.

Power dropped to 195kw.

Never heard of P heads being used, although you never know.
