I am currently in the process of replacing chains and tensioner in a 260 BOSS engine.
What a sh!t of a job !!!
need to make a tool to hold the cams still.....and apparently there is a tool for holding the crank still too.
I have taken photos so I'll post them later.....if anybody is interested.

special tool to hold the cams still?.. why not just mark where they are and then re-allign them when your putting it all together?
i didnt bother doing the guides or tensioners as this is the only car i have and had to be fixed to get to work.

a few pics would go well.
