hey guys. noticed this a day ago. seems to be a almost valve train rattle when my engine is under load.
doesnt do it when free-revving and wont do it when cold or under light throttle. almost sounds like low oil but i know its not too low.

could it be the oil itself breaking down due to heat soak? its caliber 5/30 and im about to put some of the new magnitec 10/30 in to try eliminate the issue.

cheers.

post number. 1000 :P :P 8-)

You can use a 10W40 oil too.

like cjh said,
you can use a 10/40w, the 40w wont break down with energy as quick as the 30w
dont know what Supercheaps Caliber (caltex) oils like but i use Nulon oils for everything & its pretty impressive stuff.

magnitec oil is pretty sticky stuff but remember that if theres foreign bodies in the oil that they stick with the oil also.

good luck

Unfortunatly I think it was the beginning of the end of the phasers.
The link I just put up I done about a week or two after this one.

On a side note I'm fairly happy with the magnitec so far.
And that calibre was shlthouse.

Yea pretty much was told it was alrite and it had a shiny bottle.... Lol.
I figured rather then go on what others say I'd give it a run. I like to figure stuff out for myself most of the time. Haha.
