This is to ask people to be cautious when buying from small firms on the net.
Bimlube experts recommended and sent me engine cleaner fluid and 10x30 bimlube oil,to clean out my AU XR8 engine and then refill it with bimlube oil.
I now have a very ratterly engine on start up. The engine is quiet when hot, but ford mechanics say I have to overhaul the engine because the above process has made clearances damages. The people that sold me the lubricants refuse to help with repair costs. I am speaking with my solicitor and have spoken to Today Tonight and 60 min.

Goodluck with that. but keep us updated. As always these products are buyerbeware. I actually misread it initally as BINlube, thinking why the hell would you lube a BIN. Bimlube, sounds like the recommended lube for a TATA or something.

I am assuming that product was from Bimrose Lubricants?????
I have always reckoned that the stuff they sell is overpriced and ordinary.
I need to ask a question though????.....when you put the flush in...did you drive it, or just let it run a fast idle for 20mins?????
I use the Nulon EOF, never had any probs...even on an abused Mits V6 with 367K on it.

10w30 is too thin for the Windsor. Have you drained it and put 15w40/50 in it, which is what Ford recommend. Nowhere does Ford specify 10w30 for the factory Windsor.

Unless you put vege oil in, I find it hard to believe that a simple flush and new motor oil would suddenly make an engine 'lose its clearances', especially something like the Windsor which takes a bit to kill.

Also id be weary of believing anything a Ford dealer mechanic would say.
You really need second and third opinions before you can make accurate claims.

What clearances did the engine lose also? Bottom end? Top end? How many kms was on the engine? how bad was the maintenance prior to the flush?


You really should be careful what you are claiming, because you could be up for defamation if you cant substantiate your claims.
