FYI Guys dont go to a certain wrecker in sunshine, melb- on Sunshine ave. (pm me for more details)- i don't want to be charged for public defamation!! *LOL*
I asked the "Igor- ish guy at the desk (They specialize in Late ford) If he had a set of gt40ps for sale in good nick....his reply was nah mate cant get em- ford only put them on the t-series au 5.6, and they are alloy.....naturally I commenced to tell him where he'd gone wrong, icluding the liitle fact that the 40p's are also iron ....but oh no..trying to tell him of their factory fitment in ALL AU SERIES V8's he and a more goofier guy just stood there and nodded enthusiastically to each other about 40p's only being available on the stroked 5.6 T- series..hmmmmm mate what about an explorer upper??? "Yeah" no worrys he says....and comes back with a dirty old dented HO! My reaction? I walked out.

you'd probaly have gotten them cheap as he doesn't know what he's selling |

Ok so, you can get a set of 40p's for $500 at wrecker "A", WHO KNOWS whats us types buy these things for. OR u can go to wrecker "B" WHO classifys all falcons as taxis, and will give em too ya for $200- both same cond.... what would you do go-getta?

im just echoing what hans was saying
2 things can happen 1 - you buy them for cheap 300-400 fit them and they are reliable 2 - you buy them fit them, they run ok then stuff up a month or two down the track....then your up for reco and new gaskits...which will cost more than buying brand new ones in the first place... $650 for new ones is damn good (if thats a pair not each)
