are you just asking opinions or do you want a real answer?
I assume you just want opinions as someone wanting to find out the real legalities of this mod with ring either there local RWC workshop or give the local road authority a ring (Vicroads).

i thought it just have to be so far past the back door/diff

Its not legal.

It sounds good and will actually give a small increase in horsepower.

Just a suggestion, why dont you take it all the way to the rear bar, but hide it behind the rear bar and have some dump tips facing it towards the ground like the BA I6's?
That where there it wont be excessively loud, it will be legal and you can still have your exhaust exit deleted.

i was actually thinking that. I will more than likely have it setup so i can run it being dumped at the diff or add the additional tail pipe and have it exiting at the rear but hidden

from memory adr say the exhaust pipe must continue 2" past the last unwelded seem.

but hey if you do do it then lets us no how you go because im thinking of getting it dumped at the diff so that the pipes will stop knocking around on the diff housing
