I am having problems with my EFI running very rich. I am thinking of taking the Intake Manifold off and making some adjustments to it, so it will take a Carb. I will also have to change the Ignition System so it is independant of the computer.

Has anyone got any words of wisdom before I start?

I have seen it done on a vy ss ute, not sure how he did it but bloody impressive made a lot of power. Not to much of a help just letting you know it can be done.

be better off finding the real problem.

but as far as changing to a carb, buy a edelbrock performer or performer airgap and stick a 600vac on top of it. modify the TPS and linkage to fit the TPS to the carb and it should run just fine.

I don't want to start changing a bunch of parts.

I have no idea how to check the sensors.

ie: ohms readings etc.

If someone could help me troubleshoot this system, I would be wiling to spend the time.

I have found some tests for example the MAP sensor.

I cannot start this beast as it floods right away.

Anyideas?

You had better tell us what it is in.
If it is in a f truck it would be a factory computer.

It is in an F350 1988 Crew Cab.

Motor for ref is a 7.5 Litre or 460 Cu In.

EFI multi port, ports are in intake just before entry to cylinder.

HTH.
