Allow 15-20 for a solid strong 347 with great heads, intake and management, if you are paying someone else to build it. Last time i got one qouted including 6 speed manual and 9in diff came to a cool 47k

Id ask waggin how much it costs him to setup....he went all out with a motec EMS and stuff which you wouldnt have to go to that extent but yeh certainly gonna be lookin near or just over the 10K margin as Jaysen said.

NA/NOS combo, full wet system, but as i said included T56 six speed(9k) and bullet proof 9in(5k)
Was suppossed to be good for 450rwhp NA with a further 300 NOS, as well as a Motec M series ECU(6k fitted and tuned)

f**k me 47k, even with a bulletproof setup, that still seems like someone's added about 20k for s**t and giggles.

Here's one way to go....
http://www.fordracingparts.com/parts/pa ... ield=65301
Sell off the Vic jnr intake, distributor, oil pan and front cover/water pump and fit a TFS-R with Box upper,TFI distributor, front sump pan and EB-EL timing cover and water pump.
Raceparts in Qld and I think Eagle spares have em.

Pete.

there's no real advantage of supplying the ELV8 unless you get it for an obscenely cheap price : intakes/heads/crank-pistons/probably block - u don't really salvage much for a serious 347 - some ancillaries and thats it due to the block really setting the power limits. you're better off doing like i did and get one built outright with all the good gear u can afford and a decent block becoz 1 day you'll want more power.
I lucked out with an old school race block that my engine builder had sitting around, got it for $185. the rest of the engine cost just under 15 but it had a very pricey multi-throttle intake setup, alloy heads with a tonne of custom work & a few favours. After that, I needed to upgrade the very good exhaust sytem I had on it + an Autronic to run it all. Add on airfilters (x 4) plenty of trick metal work etc etc etc, & it becomes very easy to spend a lot of money on the old windsor. Would I do it again - hell yeah!
