Hi guys as some as you know i'm looking at getting a big stroker built for the mont. What i'm looking for is some info about recommended engine builders in VIC.
Any info about the builders they have used would be very much appreciated. (may be willing to travel interstate but only if they are very, very good) Thanks Trent

Thanks for that mate, deffinately on the list of ppl to call. Anyone had any dealings with anyone else in VIC that they care to share. Expecially no go builders. (if you want to keep this quiet you can pm me)

Nankervis - as i've already stated, knows fords and v8's as he builds 502 TT jobs for southern 80 boats
but of course, you already know all this, dont you...

Pavtek are good on there engines and prices but a mate of mine said that if u have a engine problem that u have 2 take the engine out so they can look & repair it.
I guess u would if the engine let go LOL but just make sure when u have a chat as they purely advertise as engine builders only. I have a mate in melb which i can ask and get back to u 2nite on more engine builders.

I've heard good things about Competition Engines in Springvale. I know a bloke whose had lots of strokers built down there.

Motor Improvements Bricker street cheltenham i think thats spelt right. speak to brendan he is a champ revuilt my 390FE big block doesnt try and rip you off either.

Wow, thx very much for the info guys, will be contacting these ppl over the next couple of weeks then i will be stripping car down and sending off to paint and retrimmer. will hopefully be finished by easternats and AFD in Sydney next year (fingers crossed)

Horse Power Factory In Dandenong are pretty good. They know their stuff and this fact is back up by many cars pushing big power figures, however they are fairly expenisve. they mainly deal with late model holdens and fords but they do give older models a crack too

Try Vic, at EAS. He's in Airport West.
I got the Wolf i have installed and tuned with him, and couldn't have been happier with his work. He does a fair few imports these days, but V8's were his bread and butter back in the day. If you give him a call, tell him Dave, with the Blown EL XR8 recommended him, and he'll look after you. |

actually there is another in town, AED (Advanced Engine Dyanamics?) or something, out in golden square.
they do a lot of stuff, but i dont know much about them.
