This problem has just about sent me around the twist.

My EB 5.0L sometimes wont start and occaisionally will stall after starting and driving short distance.

This mainly happens after the engine has warmed up.

I've replaced the following, Dizzy Cap, rotor, plugs, coil, fuel pump. fuel pump relay, MAF sensor (second hand unit bought on Ebay for $32).

I don' t know how to get faul codes from ECU as my EB is a 91 Model with the test connector in the engine bay.

Any help would be appreciated. :?: :?:

pull off the isc(idle speed controller) n give it a clean up.. (it bolts onto the side of the throttle body..)

its something to try, and its free.

A common problem with your engine is for the air flow metre and throttle body to be gunked up. Double check these are clean.
That's all I could suggest...

^ thats righter than my first post..

coz, if it only ever happens when cold, then its more likely to be maf than if it does it when warm..

reason is, when cold its running in open loop, ie not checking mixture with hego sensors in the zorst.. so coz its relying 100% on the accuracy of the maf to work out air/fuel ratio, then.. yeh. u get the idea.

apparently to clean the maf you pull the little wire out and clean it with carby clean and a cotton bud.. coz they really fragile...
