Hello
I'm considering putting a V8 in my automobile but it currently has a I6 in it, what will be required to fit the 8?
From what I have read, it requires a loom, ECU, Dash (?) change, is this just the loom in the engine bay or the whole thing behind the dash?
What about the box, can I use the one in there? Last one, how much is it going to cost me?

Thanks for ya time!

the v8 K-Frame- v8 front springs are recommended and EFI loom not the whole lot..... its not really worth the conversion though or the trouble unless you REALLY love the sound of a v8. for good power your better off with a fresh AU 6 a nice grind cam . exhaust and bbm conversion, all depends how far you wanna go with either... the 6 is better value for money when it comes to working them there is less work and less costly basically everytime

Ah ok then, I really would like to put in a V8, if not I'll build up a nice 6 I suppose.
What part of the loom have to changed?, I know MRE-50L put a gas system on his, I wonder if that would cut down on wiring?

4.0's are boring....put a 351 in it. It's a piece-o-piss.

Ahh well just done this,

V8 K Frame
V8 Bellhousing
V8 ECU
V8 Loom complete
V8 radiator/shroud
basically the whole v8 engine bay so all the plugs connect.

To make life easier you want to get the V8 K-frame - I modded the 6.

V8 Bellhousing - My 4speed 6 cylinder auto bolted up to the v8 no dramas with the v8 bell housing. sits on convertor perfectly. (internals are weaker on stock 6 trans though)

Complete v8 wiring loom, or you can do what i have done and unpicked both the 6 in the car and the 8 out of the car and attached them together.

**YOU NEED THE DASH FUSE SETUP AS WELL AS THE 6 PLUGS ARE DIFFERENT TO THE V8 LOOM**

but easier i can tell you to just remove all the 6 harness indash and engine bay while the engine is out and put the complete 8 one in

longer tailshaft.
V8 exhaust.
