Yeah mate they are all one piece.
I have actually heard of someone who was removing the pulley from them and making them a replaceable unit on the std tensioner. When replacing all my pulleys/idlers on the ute i priced up a new tensioner unit and i cant remember the exact price but put it this way, i've still got the original one on ![]()

i was talking to a bloke the other day about these and he reckons that rocket ind or vpw sell replacment tensioners with steel pulleys, might be worth a look. when i get the time im going to cut the plastic pulley off with a dremel and drill a hole and tap a thread in and bung a nuline steel pulley on.

If you can get a syringe and needle from somewhere you can inject some grease under the bearings seal. This is what we do on some driveshaft bearings on helicopters and it works vrey well.

I drilled out the old pulley. The replacement pulley is just a standard 6 cylinder idler pulley, they're only about $10. Once you get the pulley off, then you have to tap the bracket, thread it, whack her on wit then bob's your uncle.

You can if you want. The bolt size is really up to you.

thats what i was trying to post yesterday when my computer crashed except im going to use a nuline pulley to match the other iddler pulleys. if the bearing is stuffed id seriously look at replacing it, you dont want that bearing to sieze and throw the belt through the thermos and radiator. so even if you need a new tensioner, its cheaper than waiting till that bearing goes and costs you a few hundred dollars for new thermos and radiator.
