Ive got the 351 just about ready for is make over, heads are finished, cams been sitting on the floor for 6months now, hunting for a weiand intake and 800DP holley, but when thats all said and done, (<1 month ways I reckon) Im going to need someone to put it together, so who out there is up to the task?

Obviously im in melbourne, so down this way is where I want it done, so does anyone know of a decent mechanic that would be able to fit a set of 302cc heads + rocker gear, install my new cam and set it all up running again?

Personaly i would Use ORGER engines in Bayswater, Peter, linsey and Russel are very experienced and are good at what they do, I service and Repair Rolls-Royce and Bentley cars and although we build our own engines all our machine work etc is done by them. I believe they have the ford contract for rebuilding warrenty claim engines and also do alot of work for V8 supercar teams. The premises and machinery is outstanding.

Mick Webb's SVO in Ringwood. He specialises in Fords and does just about everything from rebuilds to shockers etc...

If you are not in a big hurry, why not shop the machine work out and assemble the engine yourself. It is not rocket science and try and find a more satisfying sound to hear than an engine you have assembled fire up.The Mr Landau write up on FM 1 was good, see if someone has a method of regurgitating that. I have never had an engine built in Melbourne but I would have to agree with ef302, Mick Webb is a recognised GOD in this area.

I'm under the impression I am doing this engine shortly.

The 300 kw club is growing !
