Pacemaker PH4000 extractors are very good IMO. Magnaflow high flow cas are very good too, but probably a touch more expensive compared with other brands out there. And as for the exhaust, on a stock to mild engine you will actually see better performance with a 2.5" system, a 3" in comparison will loose a bit of low end power (which is important on the road) and is more suited to highly modified engines.

							welcome fellow V8 fairlane!!!

Yeah the pacemaker ph4000 are the go for headers. I have 2.5" dual exhaust, cat back. I am lead to believe that the standard cats are actually fairly good for flow, and have been advised not to change them.

Go the Pacemaker PH4000 for sure, I have been chasing some exhaust work and was told that a 2.5" dual system is the best option...

Quoted by Rob Bliss Exhausts (Brisbane) Pacemakers, 2 x 2.5" hi-flow cats, 2 x 2.5" S bent systems = $2000 Or Pacemakers, 3" hi-flow cat, 3" mandrel bent system = $1800 You may want to look at these items - Air intake & filter Cam You can go all out if you can afford it and stroke/blow Hope this helps a bit Pat |

hey, as far as i know the twin system under the fairlane wont fit, so thats why i was looking at 3" single back,

and for stroker/blown this is not a cheap option but is on the burner, and have also read that the 347 strokers arent strong, i was thinking more of one or the other, more towards the 347. And..... i was also looking at replacing the diff for an LSD 3.45, can i just change the center or do i have to go the whole diff, I found one at a wreckers for $550 for an EL XR (i assume it fits) all help apreciated thanx

Twin system does fit, just when they go over the diff both pipes have to exit on the drivers side. Its doable but a lot of exhaust places can't be stuffed doing it. I've seen pictures recently of a twin 3" system on an blown EL that went over the diff. Its a work of art.

Twins on EFI Windsors sound nice too
