In an EF GHIA 5.0, when you accelerate should the oil pressure gauge go up , and then settle on the last line before the 7 whilst cruising on 100km'h?
At idle it reads at around half the gauge, as soon as you give throttle it steadily moves up? I am assuming this is not to be treated as the "coolant temp gauge" is it dangerous as it approaches 7? Please excuse my ignorance!

As the oil temp rises the pressure will drop dont worry until it drops off the btm of the gauge
