Ok, so here's the go.
I've had little money last couple months so I haven't been able to afford even a trickle of some petrol. Now I've just started a new job, FINALLY, and gave her a tank of BP Ultimate. She ran really really rough for a while couldn't go past 2800rpm, so used some injector cleaner. But now she doesn't run at all, flick her from gas to petrol and she dies. ![]() Seized/blocked injectors? Opinions/ advice and possibly a remedy + cost? Cheers guys ![]() |

get someone to turn the key while you listen for the fuel pump to prime.
the pump should run for a few seconds then stop. if you cant hear anything the pump is dead. let us know how you go after doing this.

what air filter you running? If its a foam washable one id keep your MAF sensor clean. Also keep your ignition system in top shape as LPG requires better spark.

Just a quick heads up, using 98 octane fuel does nothing to a standard engine that is designed to run on 91 octane. True story. You gain absolutely no benefit from the higher octane other than to perhaps hide a pinging problem that is caused by something else to begin with.

you can benefit from the 98 by advancing your timing about 4 degrees. You will notice the difference. As for the pinging, as long as your balancer has not spun which is common, keep your MAF clean and it shouldn't ping.

![]() ok, ahaha. good thing i dont waste my money very often on 98, i shall keep that in mind ![]() I have a K&N panel filter, which is relatively new. Oh while were on about MAF's, what the go with a MAFless tune? Benefits? Cars done over 300'000kms no pinging nothing, runs smooth as still. ![]() |

mafless tune is fine in your combo. Its only ideal for use with large injectors and higher power output. It uses Manifold pressure to read the engine load. For you to go mafless you would need an aftermarket ecu. Like an EMS or microtech ect.
