							Hi all,

Looking at some pacemakers for the EB that have been ported (not sure on porting size). Do you guys think that the porting would cause a problem in power or torque loss? apparently they are ported for el heads which I thought were the same as eb heads. Any feed back appreciated |

Match porting can sometime allow reverberation back into the port which means less power. Depends on the combo. The next combo could make extra power with the port matching.

Same heads, yes... how/why would you bother porting headers? Paceys would be much bigger than the exhaust ports anyway.

Ya reckon any loss in power or torque would be a lot? campared to stock?

I've seen the ad for the headers your talking about, they are Pacemaker PH4000 headers.

As far as "porting", I would assume they mean they have cleaned up the welding that interferes where the flange and the pipes are welded together. I was checking this out when I pulled the Pacey 4-1's off my ute last week. I was suprised just how much the entry to some of the pipes is narrowed by poor welding... |

Wouldn't grinding welds make the extractors more prone to cracking/leaking?

If you have standard heads the Pacemaker primaries are much bigger than the E7 exhaust ports anyway. I'll take a pic later on today to show the difference and post it on here. |
