ha ha yep its me again, im full of questions this week.
how do i remove the alternator pully? do i need a special tool? thanks

Nope just a socket. Wrap an old belt around the pulley, grip it with something, I have used stilsons in the past, and undo the nut.
Tap lightly, and voila, pulley off

I used a rattle gun, achieves the same result. But i have a rattle gun, those that dont will find it a little more difficult.

I couldn't get to mine with a rattle gun so I pulled mine out and stuck it in the vice.
