Hello all

Just wondering what temp your Windsors (E series) tend to run on in stop start traffic on days like today (30 plus degrees)

They seem to be a warm running motor anyway - whereas my ef 2 ghia 6- does not fluctuate at all on hot days...

My underbonnet temp seems a little too hot - and the temp gauge reads over half in stop start trafffic - I am wondering if this is normal?

Once you are cruising its fine goes back down to the A or L of "Normal"

Update :

Put the dash in diagnostic mode, and shed some light on the situation

Normal driving (in todays 37 degree heat) it sits on 92-95
stop start bumper to bumper on the freeway it reached 105 - but then hovered around 102-103 until i reached constant cruise speed.

How does all this sound??

EF Ghia V8 btw

Sounds perfectly fine to me.
39 here in Penrith and mine got to 106.5 in traffic and dropped back to 102 while travelling.
The airflow in the EF/EL is the greatest , once the heat is in it dont like getting out.

More people paid for a ride in a VT commodore then an AU Falcon so the VT is superior.
Based on that fact my Mum is the best around!

Radiator might need a clean, my ED v8 yesterday in the 40deg+ heat wave stayed on 1/4 as always. The aircon was blowing hot air out, its cold everyday but yesterday just hot air.
