when the fairlane is idling it seems to want too stumble a bit,nothing major and doesnt miss when driving,so wot would cause this???

if its a fuel injected then take the intake tube off and with a clean soft rag clean out the throttle body of carbon

Try giving the MAF sensor wire a clean. Very gently with a cotton tip and some EFI-safe carby cleaner...
Give the throttle body a clean whilst you're in there...
