Hey guys,
my mechanic (my uncle) changing the spark plugs today on my 03 ford ba 5.4l 3 valve noticed that the spark plugs had never been changed.... anyway long story short the second spark plug broke in..  What is the easiest way to get this out without taking the heads off... which will cost an arm and a leg..???? |

thanks ash, just called and they said would b $100 a pop... thanks... i really feared i would have to pay $2000+
dc_todd - i did google... just now but i didn't want to do it myself since iv never done anything like that and i didn't want to stuff anything up with there after market tool. Thanks for your help - its booked for next friday =] |

mine have never been done and its done 136000
My uncle has the same (the mechanic) and he changes his every 60-70Ks bus said never had a problem.. all the best and i suggest change them asap. ill let you know how everything goes next friday |

ha. this is why im scared of changing mine. lol.
apparently mine were done at 100thou Ks just before i brought it so hmmmz.. lol at 180now.

As much as I has to say go directly to ford if u think the worst because better get the job done right instead of f**k them up... I can't drive me baby or a week... I had to put the broken spark plug back in and drive it home.. Running on 7... And f**k it feel so s**t.
Get them changed guys and stop fearing for the worse coz if they r going to break they will break if u do them now or later. Learn from my misfortune...

yea im gonna leave it a bit longer till i buy some more plugs from america and then gonna go round to a blokes place from perth falcons that owns the broken spark plug removal tool.

just giving u an update my car is back a day early and all fixed and running a F load better than b4... 7 sparkies broke and cost me 770 for them to b removed.. i suggest get ur plugs out asap incase the same s**t happens to you.... and if it does... go on ebay and buy the spark plug tool... same thing ford uses for only around $88.
but hey if u get it done now... soon then you won't have to stress good luck guys =D |

I had the car in the garage and tried that 3days after I posted and still lost 7 owell I'm happy everything is done but yeah get the tool so worth it

Nah we didn't use the cleaner just wd. Let me know how the cleaner goes. Haha probs won't need it coz I'm gona make a habbit in changing them
