I recently put a 1/2" phenolic spacer & 65mm AU throttle body on my EF everything went well, I swapped my ISC & TPS sensors & put them on the AU T/B, car is going great, pulling strong, the only drama i've got is sometimes I get this surging idle where the engine will surge up to 1500rpm then drop back to 400rpm it will go up and down until it stops, i've set base idle it improved it a bit but still playing up any ideas??
Thanks Josh

Haven't checked tps, I set base idle by following the directions in repair manual, disconnect isc plug, let motor idle for 1 min, then adjust idle with t/b screw, switch off then plug back in and restart??

s**t well if you havent reset your TPS to the right voltages i would say thats the problem. Obviously you had to make a few mods to the TPS holes and the T/B blade for it to fit, but you will most likely have to elongate the holes on the TPS so you can twist it to obtain correct voltage. Between the black and green wires (i think) you should have 0.98v @ idle with ignition on and engine off, obviously twist the TPS untill voltage is set.

Ok finally got around to checking tps voltage, was set at 1.4v!! elongated holes and set it up at 0.97v, seems to be fairly normal again, thanks for the help.
