Im after the big end and main cap torque specs for a ho engine, both of my books have different specs.
Does 30-35 nm for the big ends and 90 nm for the mains sound right, or does 45 ftlb for big ends and 105ftlb for the mains sound right ![]() The first specs are from max ellerys and the second are from how to rebuild a ford smallblock. Cheers Milo |

Cheers mate, i had to ask because there is a big difference in the american specs and the australian by the looks of it

How to rebuild your smallblock ford says; " 95-105ft lbs for the 351 and 60-70ft lbs for the others"
A 302 is "the others" For rods; 19-24ft lbs for 221,260,289,and 302 engines and 40-45ft lbs for the HP289, Boss 302 and 351W" So there is no difference in the specs between books. |

My book is printed wrong then and these are the only specs i can find on the internet as well.

Just follow the 289/302 specs. The f**k wits put 302HO with the 351.
