hey all,
wasn't sure what section to put this in, I've got an EF XR8, I have 19" wheels on it, currently running 245's, was wondering how wide I can go with the tyres on the rear without problems. Was looking at 265/275, just not sure if i'll have enough room under the guards.

Cheers,
Will

Hey Will,
This should probably go in the driveline section?
I've seen 18" 275's on an EL but it looked stupid because it was still high in the air to stop guard rub....if you can't lower it, I reckon it's a pointless exercise and it will look positively stupid with 19's and no lowering. That car I mentioned was using std offset so you're probably limited to 255 or 265 without problems? If you change wheels, I don't how much backspacing you can get away with to tuck them under the guards?

Pete.

I had an EF2 XR8 that was fitted with Foose 20 x 10's and 285 25's in the rear and there were no clearance issues (it was close on the inside though, so as already noted the offset is important). I can't help on the fronts as they were smaller 19 x 8.5's with 235 35 tyres.
