Carnt i get a gilmer sounding kit like the vortech???

Yep just go for one of the Votech's but not the SQ's as they are "Super Quiet".

I got a V2 s trim, Has the straight cut gears in them and sounds great, a bit like gear drives or gilmer belt drive.

As for the Vortech having a stronger gearbox in the SQ, I dunno. The s trim I have can be spun up to 50,000 rpm (impellor speed) and safe working boost up to 20 psi.

Get a T trim if you want the Sound, still reliable too will handle 26 psi and sound great too. Plus you can get a cogged belt (gilmer) drive for em too, so you will have no shortage of sound.

Mod V8 with S400 single turbo...
About 9 to 1 compression and tuff auto...
May need to visit G.M dept there ??
With boost controller to prevent wheel spin or Autronic ECU with traction control ..
Kaas LSD....
For the guys who can't drive...
High comp = little or no lag and some fuel economy

TUFF!!!

s**t ehh!!

had a look at there 347 stoker kit, US$8995, converts to around AU$9750. Add $1000 GST... how much does freight cost on something like this? $1500?

be around the same price as building one, maybe even better!!

As for original question, strokered v8 ftw!! and then super it down the track!

Put on their CNC Edelbrock Victors, solid roller and a Super Victor EFI intake and make an easy 700hp. :)

I wouldn't really say that a 1UZ is being different, there are that many of them over here running turbos in everything from TA22 Celicas to F100s.
