A comment like that and people will think you drive a VL, Its called a screwdriver, A "screwy" c'mon, don't be lazy, you drive a ford, do it once do it right.

Screwdriver ignition barrels were a factory feature of bogandores.

Was it the vk or vl that had a safety feature of if the car rolled into its roof the doors would unlock?
So people would jump on the roof to unlock a car. Lol

I proudly do not know the answer to this question.

Pride?

It was a VT commodore that has that. A quick short hit to the middle of the roof will open the doors.

I know what your saying, I am a chippy by trade, but calling a screwdriver a screwy....

Its only 1 letter out of place for a Scewy, thats an acceptable abreviation, I have never heard of anyone tradie or not refer to a screwdriver as a screwy, until today that is. I have to accept your arguement and admit possible defeat based on the fact that my own trade is abrevieated with an ie, or y.

But calling it a screwy is one step too close to bogan for my taste. I refuse to subscribe to that school of language. its just a bit too lazy for me. consider this me taking a stand on the further decline of the Australian lingo adaptions.

And, No I don't eat cucumber sandwiches before I pandered as being high class. I've been on this forum too long to be allowed to enter that part of society. :D

All in fun.

Dave
