Does anyone know if it's normal at low speed, especially after starting, that the ABS seem I fight me by vibrating and pushing back? I'm not used to the AbS traction control car but my 2003 Fairmont Ghia seems to make horrible noises when I'm driving slow and go to break. It seems fine once I've been driving a while.

I just assumed it was either traction control or the abs. The abs and traction light also come on often for no apparent reason. It turns off eventually though.

I'd check for a bent drive shaft or axle...

where do you think the noise is coming from & what was the last thing you worked on?. the ABS will pulse when braking hard or you might get a push back if your rotors are warped?. have you put a stone guard on incorrectly?.

i had my traction control light [BA] come on lots of times. the cat collapsed one day so we replaced that and then no more traction issues or light on?? [except when starting car].

The noise comes from the front. I suspect it might be the Abs or traction control resetting it may be at low speed when that car has not long been running Its worth taking in for a checkup just in case, Apparently the vibrating is meant to be normal.

i doubt it's the ABS resetting itself ..... think it's more along the lines of you having an issue re front end. 'might' even be front bearings but canna check that out coz i'm here & your over there....

IF you were able too, with a jack & a stand you could jack up one side of the car enough so the tyre is off the ground [put stand under car and in the correct part/spot] and see if you could spin the wheel to see if it does it. would have to do it when cold tho so it would hopefully make the noise and you would get some idea of where/what's possibly causing the issue.
