now im really new to the hole ford thing and i dont know much about the engines but i have an xh ford ute with a stright 6 of course but i wanna put a v8 in there,

just wondering will it fit?
how will i fit it?
how much they cost to buy?
how much they cost to get someone else to do it lol?

it will fit and cost a f**k lot

you will need some 5L engine mounts, an engine + ECU , and a complete set of XH XR8 looms to get it all wired up.

Not to mention a host of other small odds and ends that the V8 models differed to the I6 model.

well mate if u wanna do it stick at it and go nuts, anything can be done if your willing to put it the hard yards, and to get the old Windsors up and cracking they need a fair bit of work, eg manifolds, cam stroker kits etc and will cost alot of $$$$$, but id say worth it in the end.

oh f**k yeah mate lol but i was just thinking ill rebore it and get the over sized pistons, bigger diff and extractors and a v8 fuel pump.

Id go new manifold, cam and full zorst first with a windsor, make it breathe better. Heaps of lads on here that have worked em up have a look around and send some PMs

i think the power rest might be around 500 hp? lol im not sure at all lol
