looking at buying a shiftkit for my xh wondering what mottor is the same as the 96 xh panelvan not xr6 or xr8 version? thanks

Are you referring to the electrical shiftkits for the autos ???
If so, use the EL ECU and engine as a reference, main difference is the non XH XR6 I6's run a log manifold.
