I was thinking of that but I will need to see what the end result is if I can find a finished version.

There don't seem to be too many completed examples running an L300 or Torana setup. That worries me a little. Might mean its harder than it appears?

I'll weigh it up as much as I can before I commit to too much of the conversion.

There may not be so many in the street machine type world but the hot rodders love them (particularly L300 and mustang 2)

Then there's another link in there to another thread where the bloke was installing it (links in 6th post - Dan's XB Coupe) and it required a lot of modification, the lower shock mounts bent on his first outing. The general consensus was that it was cheap, rubbish junk. Not work the pain or bother for the price after reading that IMO.

The basic reason I have decided to go with a different plan is due to the problems the owner of the XM ute had. It had problems with the Rack only 5 months down the track (and bugger all driving) yet had Zero aftersales help from RRS and then he had to turn around and spend a further $600.

I'm thinking the shelby mod with all new suspension might be the best bet at this point.

Mate of mine had an XP with a 289 in the 80's - that had the Shelby mod, monte bar and stiff springs and swaybar, used to handle well

I read that and the other thread and in the end he was happy and said it handled great but in hindsight he'd not bother with the rear and spend that money on panel, but would swear by the front conversion!

Ah woops, sorry, it's been a while since I fully read that!
