Hey Papa Smurf,
i am after the price of a AU XR6 LHS brackets as my brackets have broken after a little prang :(
also i am after the left indicator at the bottom left of the front bar of the XR
Thanks StrawbZ

The indicator lamp is $66.10 part number ERTVE 13369 A. Which brackets are you after? The ones from the bar to the guard? or the shield under the headlight?

Can you tell me what type of oil seals are on the timing cover where the idler bolts go through?
Are these available aftermarket or only from Ford? Also do yo have an exploded view or the parts?
Cheers

Is this a 6cyl you are referring to? if so, there are none.
Let me know and I will try to get a pic for you.

hi papa LOL
got told to try you on this one from a question i asked in brakes and driveline
ford territory rear shockers have buggered top rubbers, are they easy to replace, they look simple, maybe pressed in, does anyone know what the rubbers are worth and what new shockers are worth
i also have a exhaust leak somewhere in between the cat and the o gasket to the inlet manifold
its covered with heat shield, is there a clamp under it??
double thanks

You CAN buy the bushes for the top of the shocker. They are part number SX 18198 A $100.00 each x2, there are a few different shocks for the read, starting at $231.00 each all the way up to $385.00 each, it depends on your VIN (Vehicle Identification Number).
There is a service fix for the front of the Cat/Engine pipe from 2006 model to 2008, Part number
8R7Z 5E228 AA $127.00, it needs to be WELDED in.

Unfortunately, no. You can't even buy for AU and for the BA, they never serviced them.

Hi George,

Can you tell me the difference between an EF/EL - AU - BA clock spring, if there is any difference (physically and how many wires in each)... And if you have any pics, do you think a BA clock spring would clip onto the EL combo switch...

Also I remember you saying once you were going to look into the company who made the door moulds for ED's for ford with the chrome strip... Did you ever have a win with this?

Cheers mate,
Tim

As to the Clock Spring, I will check out tomorrow at work but never got any further with the Moulds. Ford is slack in that department. Most of the guys who work in the Parts section were either filling their nappies or going to school when EA/EB's were new. :D

No offense intended :D

Cheers George that'd be great...

Yeah shame about those moulds... The old man found a place somewhere who claim they can chrome anything... So one day when he has some spare doe he is gonna send off a spare insert and see how it works out...

Cheers,
Tim

G'day
Thanks for the reply. Should have said that the engine is a Au Vct and the seal is behind the extra pulley in the middle. There looks to be some kind of press in seal. It has a split in the metal case to allow it to be pressed in. Aparently I've read when the pulley is replaced the seal has to be changed as well.
Cheers

Also George,

Availability on the alternator bracket? Plus price?

ED-10145-A

To suit ED... This is the one the teeth wear off when you try to undo the wrong nut

Well I'm back Papa Smurf :D

and I'm in need of a price and a part number if poss for a rear tail light / right hand side BA Wagon. I've just rang the local Ford suppliers which quoted me $285... surely this can't be right. (fingers crossed) it could be because i'm still stuck on this island
