hey everyone......i went to murray today to pick up the handy dandy self diagnotics thingy-ma-bob. Such a great tool
 ...THANKS MURRAY. Anyways I got home and then plugged it straight in and wrote down the codes.......the only codes that were spat out was the 796 code.
anyways it happens to be a Speed Sensitive Power Steering fault.....now I never even knew i had that in my car so now im just all confused of where it is and what might be up with it.....how much it would cost to get it fixed/replaced. I am 99% sure of what it does though
can anyone give me a hand here? phong =P~

normals monts dont have SSPS i dont think, only the ghias?
it may just spit it out cause its not there

don't worry about it mate, my EL fairmont spits out the exact same code.
Talked to a ford guy my dad knows and it's because it's not there. It's for the el fairmont ghia which had the power steering speed sensitive steering. cheers.....

Only ghia's had SSPS.....that code means the switch (or the actuall rack) is buggered...9 times out of 10 its the switch
