Anyone know how to and what is required in giving an auto a full flush. Ford want to charge me $330 to do it. Is it alot cheaper to do it my self or should i stick with the guys who know what their doing???

Hahahahaha that's funny, sorry but my experience with Fraud is they don't know what their doing until they get to the cash register! Take it to a Auto transmission specialist and get a quote. Normal service is about $110 Service and full flush is about $250-$280

a normal service you can do yourself, but full flush most epople can't due to not having the equipment.
Personally I service my transmission myself with a new filter and drain as much oil and possiable and top up reguarly, that way the oil should always be fairly clean and that. i'll get a full flush eventually though. |

I got mine done yesterday, full service ($150), + replaced end shaft bush (it was completely worn $100), + extra large trans cooler ($300).
Well worth the $, feels like a different car.

if your fairly confident just do a service your self. grab a new filter and gasket and about 5-6 litres of oil and away you go

Loosen the rear sump pan bolts and gently pry the rear slightly open with a container underneath to catch the fluid.

As said above, the flush can be had for 99bucks from the right people, the full service is prolly 250+ parts n stuff, so its more up in the air lol.

Well after getting the irits with my auto i took it to my mate and found that the auto never been serviced so we did a service $100 and now next week to get real seal done+full flush+oil cooler $300 and it should be sweet as

yeah i think it needs a full service though. gears are changing slow and it feels like it may be slipping or somethin like that. I'll ring around though to see how much it's gona be. I think after the full service though i'll do a regular fluid chage myself.
