I have done a search, but am still looking for an answer for my question. I know Wagon and Ute diffs are the same. But will an AU wagon or Ute diff fit a BA. I'm looking for a cheap, get me out of trouble option for now. I heard that the AU diffs may have been a better Diff then the BA or was that the E series?

Centres are interchangeable with AU. AU diffs were "stronger" as they were 4 pinion,B series diff's (for ute or wagon)are 2 pinion.
Actual Housings will also fit, just have to relocate handbrake brackets.

I ended up just getting a centre from pick a part. Fingers crossed it fits.
