got 20ltrs castrol TQ-DIII, this will b fine for flush/replacement in my 98 el 4spd auto?, auto slips in drive after reversing when cold and not all the time but becoming more freq., also repco filter/gasket kit(17.95) any good??,

TQ95 is out dated, Most brands now have a synthetic fluid for the BTR
|

fond out can b used in falcons up to 96, but mines a 98 sealed unit(no dipstick), are they that diffrent really??

castrol TQ DIII atf can only be used temporarily but not reccom. for replacement for TQ95 according to castrol (the local dealer rang castrol)

repco brand dex(h) III atf (by penrite); 20ltrs $126; specs state for btr 4 spd (89/91/95le), so im gona use this for a flush/replacement, other recomm.oils; shell-ATF XTR, Ampol-Autotrans Fluid BW, Valvoline- ATF type 95LE, BP Autran LE, Mobil ATF 95LE

Dex 3 can only be used on the 3 speeds, NOT the BTR 4 speeds. Use 95LE, as Troyman said. When I flushed mine I used 95LE, a lot of the Dex 3 bottles on them said "not for BTR gearboxes" or something similar.
Edit: I used some kind of TQ95 equivalent - definitely NOT dex 3.

i was always under the impression there was only one oil recommended for the job -- TQ95
and the facepalms//

yer i deserved th facepalms
, the oil i got says for btr 4speed (89/91/95le), gmdex3h and allison 4 spd auto, thats on the specs, on the front its dexron 3???  , im a little confused atm so the flush is on hold till i get SOME BLOODY TQ95!!!!!!, just wnt to get it done so can move on to other things!
