Unfortunately, we are very limited in options for brake upgrades.

There are a couple of 330mm kits with twin calipers available, but be prepared to drop around $1200 - $1500 for a bolt in kit.

The most common upgrade is to replace your rotors with slotted replacements and some good quality pads.

And realistically, unless you are hitting the track, that is all you should need.

From what i've read braided brake lines are also an option worth considering. Standard brake lines 'grow' with the pressure and therefore create a spongy lag-effect in the braking. That effect may reduce the incidence of lockup with an ordinary driver, but with a good driver braided lines should see more control.

G'day Mate,

Give Matt @ Race Brakes Sydney a call.
I sourced my 330mm Twin Piston set-up through him and that was a complete, hassle free bolt on deal. I am 100% happy with the kit, it pulls the ol' e-series up really well.
I had trouble with the UPC(Mr-spares) E-bay kit, as i as the guinea pig to originally try it and it didnt work. However im sure they have rectified the problem and are now selling kits that "actually" work. One problem with their kits are they change your offset. They give you either a +20 or +28mm offset.
The good thing about the Race Brakes Sydney kit is that e-series offset is kept.

Contact Matt through the website www.racebrakessydney.com.au

Jeff

Trent,

Thanks for the kind words.

The special on the Kit is $1990, then obviously plus freight (if required) and $100 deposit on exchange uprights (i.e you pay an extra $100, and if you return your factory uprights you get $100 back). You will also need to buy 4 new ball joints for this kit.
For just over $2000 i really think its worth it, as i said its a FULL bolt in kit, it uses only top quality parts and the service from Matt is second to none.

For abit of added info the kit uses an EL GT rotor and PBR sports AUII type calipers in red.

Cheers,
Jeff
