							Hi Folks,
I've found a guy with a T56 that is claimed to only have about 60k on the clock.. it isn't in a car though so I can't try it. Anyone got any tips on how I can verify it's condition before purchase? apparently there is a cover plate I could take off to see the general condition of the teeth and any discolouring (I've been googling, but I don't know where this plate is) and I can check end play and slop in the different gears.. and I suppose checking the condition of any oil in there might give me an indication too. anyone have any other hints specific to a Ford XR6T T56? he said it's only had stock power though it and when he upgraded to 600kw he pulled it out to go auto. I don't plan on getting much more power than I have.. and I love manuals so if I can get this for a good price and it's not a piece of crap I'll have the last big expense for my car taken care of. Any tips folks? regards Frank |
