the lsd in my xr is whining pretty bad(can even hear it over the stereo),havent had a chance to take it to the mechanic to get checked but im assuming its gonna be stuffed,what would be cheaper putting in a lsd out of a ed,ef,el xr or rebuilding this one?

second hand, there's always a few getting around cheap enough, but you run the risk it may be worn out too or you might find one that will last you for years
