Can I ask why you would want to? I doubt that it would fit as it is SO different.

just looking at lowering au fairmont and know someone selling lowered springs for el ...thought they might be the same...my bad

Yes you can put E series shocks and springs in the front use the whole assembly,I have this set up in my au,just beware that au is heavier and a low e series spring is a really low au spring,the rears are similar i think,i have irs so dont know for sure.
