just a question,

whats needed to fit a ef or el xr6 3.45 diff into a ef fairmont,

will there be a difference from a ef fairmont diff to ef/el xr6 diff,

how long does it normally take to swap a full diff over

EF Fairmont is 3.23:1, EF Ghia II is 3.45:1. XR is 3.45:1.

Straight swap. If using the EL Diff, ensure that you get the XR upper control arms, they are different to the standard cars.

3:45:1 will alter your shift points slightly but should be little issue. You will need a new speedo gear for the Transducer due to the ratio change.
