hey sorry if this been asked b 4 but i searched alot and couldnt find it anywhere, i got my current el falcon and its a single spin diff im pretty sure, as i only get power to 1 wheel, and during burnouts in legal places =) only leaves singles coz power on 1 wheel.

wondering what would b best and cheapest way to possibly put an lsd diff on the el?
also wat diff ratios are the go? and for what reasons?
ny help appriciated im not tht knowledgable in the subject of diffs if you couldnt tell

i would get a lokka for the diff its close to a minispool but it is Legal

I can change the centre and not effect the the run out of the gears so that suits me fine...

Each to their own... After talking to some of the more experienced members on here its not worth my while trying to find a LSD... Cost me a fortune to get it here for 1... and it is still not guaranteed too lock up... a Lokka will give better traction, esp when towing, and when you stand on the throttle your 100% sure both wheels are going to lock up...

Read some other peoples opinions in this driveline workshop... Most people do prefer 3.45 with an LSD... Some people here run 4.11's... These are probably a much more noticable improvement... Would be insane launches (For a 6cyl motor)... But your looking at climbing close to 3000rpm when doing highway miles... (2700 or something I think I saw somewhere)...

Each to their own mate...

Put in the diff for starters... Try 3.45's... If you don't like it then move to 3.89's or something...

I haven't experiences much with other ratios... Only going on what I've heard and seen written...

You've got nothing to loose so try it mate...

so if i understand this right, a lokka is better than standard lsd, for launch and control outta corner etc. just a stupid but such a p plater steriotypical question but will both wheels have equal power coz its locked or close to it? eg leave twins when having fun on "private roads" =p

with general driving, a lokka is an open centre. When you bury it/dump the clutch/do a skid, they lock and spin 2 wheels. Do not mistake this with a Locked diff.

this actully sounds ideal tbh, its best of both worlds am i not wrong haha, reacts to the way its driven. good places and prices to get a lokka? is it a modifacation to the diff or a new piece?

I got mine from a group buy done a few years ago for $460, they are around $500ish retail, iirc private9 sells them. You would be looking at around $800-1k fitted with new bearings in the diff I'm assuming.
