More progress .

Sand blasted calipers and removed pistons. Changing seals, dust boots and slider boots.
And painting them red with a PBR sticker on them .
Like this

Test fitted on upright

Rotors will sit close to upright which is good

Should have the uprights machined next week , then just have to make up an adaptor bracket for caliper

Thanks benj . I'm half way there , got rotor basically mounted .
I can even take 8mm off the hub face to compensate for rotor thickness . But I cant see 8mm being much . Guards may have to be rolled at the most . If I take 8mm off then I can use the el studs . If not I have to find 10mm longer studs .
Wasn't expecting the hub to turn out like that . It looks good .

After a good sandblasting and coat of black paint youd never be able to tell they were from a rotor .

The AU rotor WILL be too close to the upright. 21.5mm too close IMHO.

If that's the case I can always use the mustang rotor . It's the same pcd as ford falcon .

No idea about legalities .not sure whether to tell them that I machined the hub from a rotor or tell them the rotor was made from scratch . I can't see the hub failing .

Cost so far

Calipers $40
Uprights donated
Machining free cant see it being over $200

Future costs
Rotors $200
Pads $60
Brake lines $100

I have a feeling that getting it engineered will cost more than the kit it self , not worth it then .

Haha postage would be more than the slab lol.

AU series 1 is similar to e series brakes , you'll have to change the uprights to AU2 as they have the holes for the twin piston caliper .
AU2 brakes and TE50 brakes are the same . Except TE run a bigger rotor .
