then the new ball joints are showing how much wear the old ones had, pita another job to do,you will end up with a new front suspension.i had a pair of uprights done, the right side lower arm was bent a lot and after changing it,the damn upright was bent as well.lucky jax tyres didnt charge me to check it a few times, all good now.hard to see the bent parts, only on the alignment gear.

If the track widened slightly with the brakes that would cause the tyres to hit the guards.
Super lows on a Falcon equals rolled guards. Its dead easy to do.

:P :P Nah, remembered this one because it came out while there were a few big brake threads going on. There were 94DA and 95DA EF/EL uprights too - don't know what the differences are.

done some research on camber kits, seems the camber kit is not on the uprights, its the upper control arm bushes and they have to be shimmed. ill see what a tyre place reckons, whether a wheel alignment will fix it or it needs to be shimmed.

i still cant get my head around how the camber has been changed lol

Thats right. Shims go between Upper Control Arm and Strut Tower at the mounts.
As for the change in camber, its got me stuffed.

If the top of the Wheel is out too far adding Shims won't help. They are to correct negative camber.

If anything, the camber should be much more obvious, as the extra 8mm width is at the centre of the wheel, and the top of the strut received no alterations at all.

In my mind, if you push the centre of the wheel 8mm away from the middle of the car, you need to add 8mm in shims at the upper control arm to maintain the pre mod camber.

Any thoughts?

Cheers

If the wheel has come out 8mm since the brake change that is the problem with it hitting the guard 100%.

Yes it come out 7-8 mm . The thickness off the disc where the stud holes are .

The bottom of the wheel cambers out and needs to be pulled in

I think 19s and any form of lowered Suspension will cause the Tyre to grab the Guard Lip from tim to time on an EF/EF.

I can tell you rolling is the answer. It will still contact, but will have nothing to grab.
Since I did mine I have'nt had an issue.

if it has already been running superlow springs before hand you should have already fitted camber/caster kit..
i think the camber your noticing is because the wheel is out further then before making it more noticable...
