ok needd to change my pads today as well they needed it!
and the period between the last pad change and this 1 i have gotten the brakes that hot i have cracked the pads! 
the small circle mark is from my clamp i used to push the piston back into the caliper!

What Pads were they? Obviously they are Road pads and you need soemthing more of a racing compound!

By the look of them they were pretty low. The cracking may have been caused by heat from the backing plate. A lot of elcheapo pads crack too, as they don't have the asbestos any more to help dissapate the heat, and their technology hasn't caught up yet with the better names.
Pads should be changed when the pad thickness is about the same as the backing plate thickness |

they still had around 5-8mm of pad material left
and were bendix advance pads!

yeah i had part of one of the pads break clean off on my fairlane. was quite noisy.. probably caused by me pretending im ambrose

umm NO! Nafairlane im thinkign my rather hard ABUSE of the brakes have done this so need to put twins calipers on it
