change the LED around and then when you switch the kit on the led is on

Longer leg of the led is the positive. They are not like a globe and must be oriented the right way.

yes i know how they work, but when my shift kit is on the LED is off and another guy that has tried it on here he has a blue el cant remember the name his was the same situation as mine

Check your switch with a multi meter and make sure which way the internal poles sit in the various positions.

Thats strange. Ive also heard of 10+ people following mine and it working the right way (ie, when its on the LED is on). Maybe your switch is having PMS?

firstly thanks 93_eb_fairmont for drawing up the shiftkit diagram below.

my question is, could you modify/post up this diagram so the on/off switch & LED is deleted?

im chasing the wiring directions for a variable shiftkit that is always on :)

so i assume the "to trans" is the other side of the cut pin 81 wire?

Yeah I was looking at it like that aswell "can it really be that easy" but yeah Im pretty sure it is.

Correct, to Trans is where the pin 81 wire goes to the trans side of the cut wire.
