T5 bellhousing/clutch compatability

Hi all

Need to change the gearbox in my EL. Its an EA/EB box with a 3 bolt (early style) clutch which is brand new.

Will a later model (EL) T5 work with this clutch?

Can I just change the gearbox and leave the bellhousing on the car?

I believe you can. As far as I know, all E-series T5s and bellhousing are interchangable.

EDIT: by the way, clutch should be fine. Though it is a good idea to upgrade to a 6 bolt flywheel later down the track

just to confirm yes they all fit from ea to el..
the clutch size and flywheels are slightly different but they are all interchangable...
