my ef makes this weird noise.
as the wheel goes around 1 revolution, it makes a rubbing squeak. when i go faster it gets worse till about 30km/h then goes away (engine/road noise hides the sound). im guessing that the handbrake is possibly sticking, but just wondering what others think it could be? cheers.

You may find that there is a build up of brake dust around the inner drum. Simply remove the wheel, caliper and disc. Hose out the drum and brake assembly.

Drive with the hand brake on and see if the noise goes away or gets worse...

yeah i've done that.
the only thing driving with the handbrake on does is makes the drum yelp it's head off.
