just killed my 5 speed gear box in a 02 ba xr6t. what would be my best option for 316rwkw without spending mega bucks. thanks

6 spd auto is too expensive and the t6 isn't much better. Maybe go the 4 spd auto, they can handle a fair bit of power (more than the t5). Get a trans cooler if your gonna be flogging it though.

A tranny cooler is highly recomended on an el stocko NA 6. On a modified turbo 6, it's a necesity - larger than factory option would be recomended to.

would a tremec 5 speed be sautable its a little pricey but i want to keep it manual. are these a strong gear box.

you sure it wouldn't fit because thats what precision diff and gearbox centre in adelaide suggested.

anything will fit - with a custom/aftermarket bellhousing

t5-gforce will handle the power

whats a t5-g force and can my origanal box be turned into one. on the tremec side of things they said all id need is a bell housing to suit wich they can supply and a custom tail shaft.
