Have removed FMX from my 351C in favour of c/ratio toploader setup which was behind a Boss 302W, Will flywheel need balancing??

Thats a hard one, coz is the engine thats in the XE balanced???? If so, they usually balance the bottom end as a unit....Crank, flywheel, clutch, harmonic balancer, timing gear, extra pulleys, etc.

Mate i think you've nailed it.. Bought XE already built and lost contact with previous owner. Yes engine is balanced.. My main concern is that TopLoader setup is from a windsor block but have the entire setup.. FMX had been manualised running a Dominator 4500 stall running 3.45 XR6T gears and centre in the standard XE housing making it a bit of a handful on street but really at home on the strip:)
Looks like a re-balance coming up..
